Ellie and Pete's Christmas Cotswolds Wedding
/Whilst it feels slightly odd writing about a wedding that I photographed at Christmas when I’m seeing spring flowers starting to come into bloom, there was no ignoring the gorgeous cosy Christmas feel to Ellie and Pete’s early December wedding in the magical village of Castle Coombe in the Cotswolds. Their wedding ceremony took place at the nearby St Andrew’s Church followed by a reception at the picturesque Manor House Hotel. Following a couple of weeks of heavy rain, the weather was looking, well - typically wintery for the U.K. however this did nothing to dampen celebratory spirits or indeed a slightly soggy walk across from the hotel to the church. With a fabulous troop of bridesmaids, the day started with as much laughter and smiles as it ended. Highlights of the day included: the faces of the bridesmaids on seeing Ellie in her dress for the first time; Pete and Ellie’s grins when they clocked each other for the first time at the end of the aisle; Ellie’s EPIC bouquet throw which overshot all eagerly outstretched arms and disappeared into the crowd to reappear being clutched by a bemused but chuffed Pageboy; the Christmas trees at the hotel (naturally); the ‘guard of honour’ held for Ellie outside the ladies loos; the snooker table action; sharing the dinner table with some awesome bridesmaids and wedding guests; the gorgeous personalised Christmas baubles that Ellie and Pete provided as favours - I was very excited to get one myself; the moves on the dance floor - there were many, they were all pretty darn epic; every single person at the wedding - what a welcoming and fun bunch of people! Ellie and Pete, thank you so much for your warmth and generosity, I felt like one of the guests on your big day and it was a truly magical way to end my wedding season for 2018. I wish you both the very best of happiness for your married lives together.
